Look up flash code reader in the repair data base -an LED, a push button and a few lengths of hook up wire.

20 valves are 10 too many anyway...

There are pass-throughs on the firewall on the driver and passenger sides. If you look under the main fuse box (may need to remove it), you'll see a piece of corrugated hose with a rubber piece on the end with nipples that can be cut off to run wires/hoses. Usually CV joint noise is a clicking sound when rounding a corner especially at low speeds. As you came to a slow rolling stop I heard the noise again. I would look at the top of the strut. The strut mount is a common point of failure but you would probably hear it going straight and over bumps. Als...

There is a good replacement motor from the company TYC that is about half the price of the Volvo OEM one.
