1993 Volvo 960,
Strange noise seems to be from under neath / behind dashboard. Mostly during accelerating, buzzing underneath dash, only for a 2 or 3 seconds, sounds almost like nasty electrical short. BUT no nasty electrical smell and everything seems to continue to work OK.
Only possible cause is a few months ago, mechanic took dash to pieces to fix warning light on dash.
Trouble is if I send car to Auto electrician will be very difficult to find fault if all is working.
DANGER is, this is wife's car and if it fails THIS WILL BE ALL MY FAULT!
Any one else had similar fault ? (Noise, not wife)
Thanks for any replies

Heating / air cond. blower fan perhaps? Mine just started doing the same thing - fired up the A/C for the first time this season. Sound got louder with blower speed increase. At first thought blower wheel might be hitting trapped condensation water, but sound continued during non - A/C operation. Probably have a stuck leaf or something . . .

hazard light switch? I get a similar buzzer sound because occasionally the hazard light contacts want to short.. (740).
