S80 Ignition Key won't turn past 1 bar Topic is solved

I have a 2003 S80 and the igition key won't turn past 1 bar. I wiggled the steering wheel & gear shift, stood on the break. The steering wheel unlocks just fine. Messed with it for an hour, the radio works fine, the remote door opener works fine. The tow truck driver told me he towed a Volvo yesterday with the same exact problem. I tend to believe this is a common problem.
