I recently installed new tailight assemblies in my 960. Previously, the right rear tailight wasn't working when I stepped on the brakes. However I thought this was due to the fact that the little tabs on the bulb holders had cracked. No such luck.
After installing new assemblies on both sides (things were breaking on both sides) I have experienced a variety of intermittent issues. Today, the turn signals don't work--there isn't even an indicator on the dash that they are on or malfunctioning. The other day it was the break lights but only if you had the headlights on. All the while the reverse lights have never resumed operation.
When I first installed these things everything seemed to be working great... I don't know what happened or why new problems pop up and old ones seem to fix themselves.
I do know that there is a short somewhere...one of the fuses immediately pops when I try to replace. I can't tell you which one it is off the top of my head. Also, the electric locks, power seats and rear stereo speakers don't work. I'm giving up and taking it in for repair by a proper electrical mechanic but I'm interested if anyone has any advice for me before I get it in.
Thanks!!
