Disarming alarm

Disarming alarm

I have an 2001 S60 with standard key entry. The only way I can disarm the alarm is by pushing the lock down and holding it down when it automatically comes back up. It works, but I'm afraid I might damage the lock system... Anyone know how to correctly disarm the alarm?

Use your key, lock then unlock the drivers door.
