V.50 Euro 3

I have recently ordered a V50 2.0D SE Euro 3 for delivery on 1st November. I have just been informed that Volvo do not now make the Euro3 and that I am being supplied with a Euro 4 at no extra charge. What in simplistic terms is the difference. Thanks
