Losing Oil

My S80 needs about 2 quarts of oil every 1000 miles. Dealership could not find anything wrong, European auto repair shop could not find anything wrong! Suggested that I replace PVC - $680. But, they can't guarntee fix. What should I do? Plugs look fine No leaks in Drive way, not burning. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
