washer problem

Post by T5-850-95 »

ok so i have a 850T5- not a bad car, have had it for 10years now and its done 630000miles- not bad hey!! second engine, 3rd turbo but original gearbox. all in all a dream to drive- still.

i have carried out various jobs in the past and have become stuck on this particular problem. i'll explain what happened.

the other morning i got in the car, fired up the engine and put on the windscreen wipers to clear the morning dew. i sprayed the washers to help like i do everymorning, the washers would not switch off, despite me yanking the control arm. so i opened the bonnet and disconnected the washer motor, but i am left with the wipers still running- on the windscreen and the headlamps. so i pulled out the socket to the control arm under the steering wheel dash cover. but still the wipers on the headlights continue to wipe? any ideas whats wrong? i checked the control arm which seems fine. where is the delay switch for the washwipe? any help i am glad for. thanks miles.
