Yes I read the Bay 13 post and it helped a lot, but the detail is missing on the removal of that connector. I would have understood right away if I saw your posted diagram. Nice work BTW!

My Volvo 850 1993, runs well foward, but in reverse it don't move. It feels like a bad cluth, but in automatic tranny. I dont know if a need to replace it or try to fix.

Please help me

My Volvo 850 won't go in reverse. I could drive it forward but it's really slow, now I have arrow flashing and I also smelled like some fluid is leaking while I was driving. What do you guys think? Is my transmission dead?

Now I am stumped...
I read this whole thread after receiving the two most recent replies to my "back up lights" not working on my 98 v70

Ozark said "sounds like the PNP switch" and if it is, can lead to worse problems.

I guess like all of your shifting problems which mine has yet to show those symptoms.

Here I was trying to find a back up switch which only seem to be offered for manual trannys.

Now I need to find the time to do the replacemnt of the PNP...

So in other words... Does my problem of no back up lamps sound right "faulty PNP?"

I did the whole back and fourth rapidly from P-L 15-20 times and not a thing.

Plus I am in Florida so no freezing cold weather here so I wonder if anyone here in Florida has had the same problem w/o the trany problems?

I have the same problem, breverse lights don't always come on. Lee also told me it was the PNP and I'm pretty sure he is right. I am starting to do my research on how to fix it.
