Hello Everyone,

I need some help with this problem.
Today the mode "W" engaged warning lamp started to flash. I would like to know what can be the possible causes to this problem and how can I solve it.

Thank you.

W means you're in Winter mode.

So you were driving in Winter mode, and the transmission "up" arrow warning light came on?
Help keep MVS on the web -> click sponsors' links here on MVS when you buy from them.

Also -> Amazon link
. Click that when you go to buy something on Amazon and MVS gets a cut!

Matthew,

I am not driving in winter mode. I checked the manual that came with the car and it is says that the light is going to come on in that case. My case is that the arrow light is flashing even though I have not changed the thing to a winter mode. According to the manual, the flashing arrow indicates a problem with the gear box. The weird thing is that the gear seems to be shifting properly ( it is my impression ) because of the sound the car its making when I am driving.

PD.
This night I just came back from work and the light went off. However, I am still worried that it is going to happen again. I do not know what could it be.

What is the PNP, I have the exact same problem, only in my car (94' 960) it happens at least once every week and when it does the car runs very slow. What I do is turn the switch off and then back on a few times then the light goes off and then I can drive it normaly. Just to make sure, this happens with out me pushing on the W mode.

ThanX
