Common practice here, from performance disc manufacturers, is 200mi of gentle braking to bed in the disc, followed by hest cycling to sort pads. This is specifically for performance discs and pads though, which are designed for the heat cycling and actually require it.

The last image looks like the retrofit recall relay to deal with fire issues. As such, that's the one I'd go with and be trying to fit. The same recall relay kit was used for both cloth and leather, so should be your best bet.
