Re: Lifting the V50?
Taller tyres is the only resonable thing you'll get away with without killing the suspension geometry. If that doesn't do it the sensible thing is to get an XC model. Yeah that's what I'm afraid of. I'm in a tight spot with selling the vehicle though, as I can't sell it unless I take it to Lithuani...

Re: Lifting the V50?
Any suggestions for reading material on figuring out which shocks and springs I ought to look for (and perhaps even how to install)?

2005 V50...miserably weak low beams?
So my 2005 V50 has HID Xenon headlights. The high-beams are okay, but the low-beams are absolutely miserable in terms of brightness. Sometimes i have to turn them off then on again just to make sure that they're on in the first place, as I can't immediately tell when driving down the road. Every car...

Re: 2005 Volvo V50 T5 FWD
$1200 is a good find? How much would one normally expect to pay? I live in Europe and bought a 2005 V50 for about 4k Euro about a year and a half ago--and I'm pretty sure I got a raw deal out of that.

Lifting the V50?
I bought a V50 some time ago and it's too low for the country I live in (lots of pot holes--sometimes as deep as 3-4", uneven roads, banked asphalt, snow, ice, lots of unpaved roads, etc.). I was thinking a good solution would be to lift the vehicle and put on some off-road tires. Does anyone h...

Re: V50 Reliability
I've had a 2005 V50 for about 1.5 years and it's the first Volvo I've owned. That said, I find the V50 trunk space to be a bit disappointing in general. As a wagon, I fully expected it to have a larger-than-average trunk space, but really not so. Most Sedan's I've seen have a deeper/larger boot than...
