Re: 2002 V70 2.4T

I’m pretty sure he used my original hard lines. FWIW

I think he may have use the incorrect length in the hard line elbow. He can either find a shorter one or cut off a section.

Re: 2002 V70 2.4T

Thanks, guys! I’m going to take a look at that video, and yeah, custom hoses has to be the plan. Does anyone have a measurement for the length of the aluminum pipe after the 90 degree bend? Like from the bottom of the pipe to the bottom of the crimped area? Don’t go to any trouble; like abscate says...

Re: 2002 V70 2.4T

I know the bolt there is wrong, it’s just helping to keep the hose in place for the picture.

2002 V70 2.4T

Folks, I’ve got a weird one. The AC suction hose blew out on the Volvo. I was unable to find a replacement hose, so I had my hose repaired by a local hydraulic shop. I go to install the hose on the back of the compressor, but it won’t go on. The way the hose block is clocked, the hose Hass to be at ...

Re: 2004 V70 2.4 Sudden pull to right after hitting bumps

Is it just me, or is the tie rod end not fully seated also? I just put one on, and I thought it seated more tightly than this one appears to?

Re: What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?

Hi all! Finally finished replacing the left front lower control arm on my daughter’s 02 V70. Had some challenges, like the rear bushing bolt rounding off, and then having to round up a replacement, but it’s done! :)

Re: "lifetime" front end alignment

To get back to the lifetime alignments- I've gotten them from our local Firestone on 3 cars. They're good about noting things to fix, which I then take home and fix. Check the online reviews or any other info you can first. I was lucky since I have connections with the community college Automotive p...

Re: 2007 S60 Vacuum Boost Operation Issue

+1 for firstv70volvo's solution.

I tried the rubber seal repair and failed. It's made by URO I think? I'm a decent mechanic, been fixing my own cars for ~30 years. I ended up buying the new booster. There may be others who know "tricks" to the fix.

Best,

Re: Issues with HVAC Fan & Sunroof after Battery replacement

Hey all, Thanks for bearing with me; I've had a lot of other things in the way of getting back to the Volvo. Okay, so I tried the "ground the positive" method and no change. Although instead of hooking the negative back up with the key off, I did it with the key at position 2, since that's...

Re: Issues with HVAC Fan & Sunroof after Battery replacement

Yup. Thanks, jimmy. It's worth a shot. The fuses were fine, though pulling the siren fuse did fix the sunroof, so that's one item out of the way. Bert the pos 2 connect battery is an airbag service injury prevention step. If you have an airbag system fault you might have made a bad repair and hookin...
