Re: 2005 XC90 No directionals, highbeam, or Cruise
My best advice would be to buy a DICE. Then get vida. 2014d is free from the right places. And is plenty new enough to get you on the right path. Get an El cheapo eBay dice for a Benjamin and restart your troubleshooting there.

Alignment issues and questions.
How's it going guys. It's been a long while since I've been here. As an update, my 03 xc90 finally bit the dust. And I turned around and recently picked up an 07 with the v8. Definitely loving it so far. Now my issue has been with my alignment. I put new tires on the truck, and got a four wheel alig...

Re: VVT issues, XC90 with a 2.5T, ECM-640A and 641A
Just an update guys, As of right now i think i figured out what it was. No CEL right now. and after a long time of running the vida cam timing app and verifying it. both cams stay within 0-1.2 degree variation now. I opened up the cam covers, and verified the timing marks were still good; and they w...

VVT issues, XC90 with a 2.5T, ECM-640A and 641A [ failed wiring]
Hey guys! So guys I got an XC90 with a 2.5T engine. some months ago. I posted on here a few different times and you guys have been pretty helpful. However I did figure out most of my problems on my own, I can't seem to figure this one out. So I'm coming to you guys and hopefully you can help me out,...

PCV Blues
Hey guys, as you've probably seen i've taken on an xc90 project. It's an 03 with the 2.5t and aw55. The truck failed the glove test initially so I changed the oil trap, checked all my hoses to make sure they were clear. Checked the ptc valve but it wasn't clogged at all so i put it back on because i...

Re: Headgasket done, rough idle now
Hey guys, I got it all figured out. Turned out when I put the plugs back in after I got the head gasket done, I dropped the plugs down and smashed the electrodes down. Pulled the plugs and had 2 that I had to regap. God I felt like a rookie. After that it ran great, no misfires. Also, I forgot to pl...

Headgasket done, rough idle now
Like my previous post say, I got this car with a blown head gasket and fixed that. Got it all put together finally and she runs! Runs good too when accelerating and holding speed. However when I'm at idle the engine will jerk from time to time. Like a misfire or something. It's really noticeable whi...

Re: Piston rings? Head gasket?
Hey guys, regarding that whole debacle. i ended up getting it done, just needed a 1/4" extension and skinny 10mm to get at em. Anyways, while i was down there i noticed that the flexpipe for the cat is seperated. Can I get an exhaust shop to just replace the flex pipe? Or am I best off to get a...

Re: Piston rings? Head gasket?
Hey guys, so I'm currently taking the head off of the XC90. I have everything disconnected, intake manifold and exhaust manifold, cams and cam cover. The only thing that told me back right now is the 2 10 mm bolts on the back side of the head on the passenger side holding the coolant pipe on. Right ...

Re: Piston rings? Head gasket?
well as it turns out it is a headgasket. Blown pretty bad too it seems. Anyways, after i cranked on it a while, i noticed i was leaking coolant again. Naturally, i was thinking "Oh god now what?" So i took the reservior cap off and cranked it, it then gushed fluid all over the place. So it...
