Thanks all for the help, I reused the ground reluctor and set it similar to the other head i had and the engine fired up and started. Now i have a new problem some of the cam shaft cover bolts threads were stripped on the head and oil is spewing out of them. I will have to tap in new threads ...

I do have the old head, the picture of the grounded reluctor was the one i had tried to fit on the cam earlier, i will try that again.
Can my timing be completely off ? even when the engine turns freely without interference such that i will get a no start ?.

I will add the video to you tube later tomorrow and also a pic of the end of the cam.

I know the end of the cam has one diagonal slot only, there is no additional (third notch) to allow for the original chunky reluctor to be placed there. I ground off the chunky reluctor to make it fit on this ...

I installed the aluminum sensor and still no start, the engine keeps spinning. Couple of questions hopefully someone can provide some insights

1. Are you sure that the reluctor and sensor are correct pairs? The first 2 pictures are of the reluctor I originally had with the aluminum sensor body ...

Does it take the aluminum body one shown in the picture ?
I can’t see the reluctor interfacing or coming in front of the pick up sensors on both the options.
