Napa exchanged the rack and the new one works perfectly so I guess it was just a flawed part. It's nice not to have any slop in the steering now.

Murphy's law is really coming to play on this project. The rack coming from out of state was lost in transit! They are ordering another one but it won't be in until Wednesday. I think I'm going to need a stiff drink.
