Re: 2011 Volvo XC90 3.2 - Spark Plug Gap
Thank you guys for the replies and information. I installed the plugs and the car runs super smooth. About a month ago, the #1 ignition coil had melted. It was the coil furthest left on the passenger side, so I think it was #1. I had no idea what the problem was at the time. My family and I were hea...

Re: 2011 Volvo XC90 3.2 - Service Manual
Managed to install the 2014 version of VIDA from the instructions here https://forums.swedespeed.com/showthread.php?481385-VIDA-Dice-2014D-VM-Image-Download-Link . Took a while to figure out how to get the VM to work via VirtualBox, but finally figured it out. Unfortunately, I didn't find the info I...

Re: 3.2L: What non-OEM plugs do you like or have success with?
Here is a better picture showing the part number for the spark-plugs FK20HQR10 FK20HQR10.jpg I just got these same plugs in the mail today for my 2011 XC90 3.2. I have been searching all over the webs trying to find out the gap size for my vehicle. Searched through my owner's manual and even manage...

2011 Volvo XC90 3.2 - Spark Plug Gap
I have a 2011 Volvo XC90 3.2. Need to replace the spark plugs. Local dealer said I need Volvo part # 31286359 (set of plugs), and wanted to charge me $123. I found them on Amazon here: https://www.amazon.com/GENUINE-VOLVO-31286359-Spark-Plug/dp/B00L2MXNUO for $79. Planning to buy from here. I'm ha...

2011 Volvo XC90 3.2 - Service Manual
Hello, I have a 2011 Volvo XC90 3.2. I've been trying to find a good service manual, but am having trouble. The only book I can find is for Diesel engines. eBay has a ton of PDF versions, but I don't know which one is the best. I'm on a Mac, so I can't install a program version because they only see...

Re: HO2S faulty code P0420
Wow, thank you for the highly detailed response, jimmy57. I have to admit, i'm a complete newbie to the xc90, so my knowledge on the vehicle is very limited at this point. Ive only had the vehicle for 2 months. When testing the O2 sensors. What tool/software should I use. Like i said, i'm completely...

Re: Emissions code PO430 - Bank 2 Catalytic Converter Efficiency
I would love to know what came of this as well. I have a 2011 xc90. Engine light came on. OBD2 code was P0420. Mechanic quoted me 5K to replace catalytic converter. I said no way! Talked to another mechanic. He gave me BG44K fuel additive. Drove about 200+ miles. I followed that up with Cataclean. A...

Re: XC90 random P0420
I have the exact same car with the exact same problem. I'd love to know if you ever found out what was causing the issue. Did it turn out to be a simple software update? Please let me know. The issue is driving me nuts. Ive read a lot of posts about this, but no one ever says what they did to fix it.
