Re: V70 2002 Right Hand Drive 02 sensor location
Hello guys, just an update I bought a new sensor from my local motor factors, fitted it and the engine light is off so I am very pleased. It took a few weeks but saved money and learned a lot. The part was a Denso (DOX-1419), here is the old vs new for anyone interested: Thanks everyone for your tim...

Re: V70 2002 Right Hand Drive 02 sensor location
So I drove it home this evening and had a go with the stiff bar and it came off with barely any resistance!
I am so pleased, now I know I can order the part and replace it.
I think the part number is: 8627599, do you guys have a reliable website you use to check part numbers?

Re: V70 2002 Right Hand Drive 02 sensor location
Well, I heated and cooled it 4 times and tried but... no success.
I have acquired a stiff breaker bar (mine is ratchet) and will try again.
Kroil or PB Blaster are pretty expensive in the UK, so will investigate the light oil / acetone option.
Thanks again

Re: V70 2002 Right Hand Drive 02 sensor location
So I tried it after 3 days of morning / nightly penetrating oil soakings and it will not budge. I have a 22mm socket with a slit for the wires as I wanted to be sure I could get it off first before committing to wrecking the sensor (in case I need to get it to a mechanic after all...) I have acquire...

Thanks, I have some penetrating oil - if that doesn't work I'll get a blow torch.
Yes it looks pretty easy to get at.
Thanks for your reply

Re: V70 2002 Left Hand Drive 02 sensor location
Thanks for your reply Oragex, Yes, I watched that video when I was researching and the sensor is in a slightly different position to mine, I am guessing this is because it is Right hand drive (my original post was misleading - had my left and right mixed up  ). Anyway, I have just received the...

V70 2002 Right Hand Drive 02 sensor location
Hello, This is my first Volvo and first post so any advice you can give would be much appreciated. I have a V70 2002 150k miles Right hand drive with a P0130 Engine code. (-P0130: O2 Sensor Circuit Bank 1 Sensor 1 (Powertrain, Generic)) I have confirmed with a local mechanic that the front O2 sensor...
