Major hesitation

My 87 760 turbo has me stumped. The car will idle and perform perfect at low RPM, but as soon as I hit about 1/3 throttle, it just dies. I had my local mechanic look at it, they aren't that great, but I had no time myself, and the only thing he surmised was that the spark plugs were all sooted, an i...

If your still out there Blur, I finally got around to pulling the seperator. It wasn't a real bad job, the hardest part was getting the EGR tubing from the intake manifold. I had to hit it real quick with a torch to get it to free. The seperator was clogged where in lets the oil re-enter the block. ...

Thanks Blur! Your idea prompted me to look under the intake manifold, low and behold it's an oil separator. I thought the hose from the head area went to the turbo, but I was wrong, the one that feeds right before the turbo inlet comes from the separator. I still haven't figured it all out yet, but ...

Leaky oil time

My 95 850 turbo wagon is messing up my concrete. I have a an oil leak that's driving me nuts. Started when I noticed the ole back window getting an oil film on it on highway runs, then noticed the driveway spots. My mechanic who is also a good friend, I think, says the "o" ring on the turb...

I can't comment on the price, but the transmissions are pretty solid. Check the fluid and see what it looks like. If it's clean, no slippage, no hard shifts, I wouldn't worry. They are also very easy to flush and maintain, see the site links for instructions.

Well, I solved all of my issues! I bought 15" wheels for the winter and will use the 16"wheels for summer. This allowed me to get some aggressive snow tires for the snow, and easily go back to the 50 series 16" tires for summer. What a big difference in ride with the 185/65/15's! I lo...

A quality kit won't hurt anything with regards to the starter, it reacts to voltage from the alternator to prove it running and to stop the starter.

Wheel swapping question

Will wheels from a 2001 V70 fit a 95 850? I'm guess the 5 bolt 108mm are the same, anyone know about the offset?
