I have never seen a c70 at my junk yards which is why I was hoping the s70 would be compatible. Can't for the life of me find if they are compatible or not ...

The trunk latch has never worked with the switch on the door or the key fob. When I hit the switch on the door I can hear the relay click but it doesn't pop the trunk.

1. Will replacing the trunk latch motor likely fix this?

Got the j hose and L hose replaced. L HOSE ha a visible tear on the long straight part (top of the L) cleared the codes and now we wait to see if it pops back up.
