I've cleaned the car side of the connector and replaced both the thermostat w/gasket and the ECT and the fans are working now.

Re: Radiator Fans Not Working
Hello All,
The new ECT is on it's way in today. I'll clean the car side connector before installing it and let you all know how it goes.
Thanks for all the suggestions!

Re: Radiator Fans Not Working
Hello All, I've tested the power and ground to the relay and it is good, I've also applied the ground to the two relay control pins and get good high and low speed operation. I've hooked it all back up, started the car and turned on the AC full blast but no fan operation. When I unplug the ECT, the ...

Re: Radiator Fans Not Working
The fan does function when hooked up to the battery direct. I am assuming the coolant temp sensor if good, as I show accurate temp reading on the temp gauge. Is there still a possibility this sensor could be bad? If so i can change it out, not to mention, i can tell the relay is clicking on with a s...

Radiator Fans Not Working
Hello All, Troubleshooting a new issue with my 1996 850. I have purchased a brand new Volvo fan controller and a brand new fan. I've finished hooking it all up tonight and the fan still won't kick on. I've tried unplugging the middle connector (ground signal to turn on relay to send power to fan) an...

Re: What is attached to my intake tube?
Hello All, The new Bosch MAF is in and the car is running great. I've went through and replaced various bulbs, such as shift light, climate control, glove box, trunk, armrest/rear courtesy light and ashtray ring. Tasca Volvo happened to have two of those specialty bulbs (30710781) in stock for the s...

Re: What is attached to my intake tube?
Hello, I went to the pick and pull yard in Cumberland, and while most was already pulled, i managed to score some switches i needed and an intake tube/clamps. The radiator fan and relays where already gone. I have a relay unit on order and a new fan coming in as it seems to be binding and give inter...

Re: What is attached to my intake tube?
Good to know, thank you. I got it running today, without the MAF to see if it would idle and it did. I got it up to temp and banged the relay and the fan kicks on and off. I'm thinking there is something wrong with the relay as it seemed that it got hot and melted the top of the relay case some. I h...
