Its dirty, flakey...and it may have sent the turbo south. But what is it?
MVS community, I recently replaced the turbo cartridge in my 740t (TD04 13c) due to leaking oil, and considerable shaft play, and noticed a lot of hard but flakey crud in - and around - the hotside/exhaust turbine wheel - photo attached. I've also seen a similar crud inside the valve cover - 2nd pho...

Torque Spec for Oil Cooler Banjo Bolt + Hollow Screw on '92 740t w/image
Dear MVS Community, I'm replacing seals (parts #5 and #4) in the oil cooler on a '92 740T, and looked in both Haynes and Green-books for banjo bolt and hollow screw torque specs, but to no avail. They are parts #8 and #2 in the attached diagram. Would anybody happen to have these NM or ft.lb handy? ...

Thanks Rick.
All went smoothly, and also took the opportunity with the coolant drained to swap out the original coolant temp sensor. Happy days. thanks again for your help.

Dear Rick, Thank you for hitting the nail squarely on the head. Indeed, the hose leads into the firewall. Thank you also for your advice on draining and removing the hose. May i ask, would draining the coolant solely from the engine block drain cock be sufficient for this hose's removal? Many thanks...

Hose identification on 1992 740T - photo included.
Hello, Could somebody please shed some light on what hose the arrow is pointing to in the attached image? I'm in process replacing the oil separator and doing an EGR clean, but this hose won't budge and is prohibiting lifting the separator. Any words of wisdom would be much appreciated. Thank you. J...
