Hello,
Could somebody please shed some light on what hose the arrow is pointing to in the attached image?
I'm in process replacing the oil separator and doing an EGR clean, but this hose won't budge and is prohibiting lifting the separator.
Any words of wisdom would be much appreciated.

Heater hose. The vacuum controlled heater valve in the hose is a dead give away. Lots of companies used that valve. The hose leads to the heater core at the firewall. Does it not?
The Nipple is probably corroded under the rubber. Drain the coolant first. Take a pair of pliers twist the hose around the nipple back an forth unit it the rubber breaks free of the nipple. Then wiggle the hose off. If you cannot get it to break free. Slit the hose at the nipple and pull it off. Then get a new hose.

Thank you also for your advice on draining and removing the hose. May i ask, would draining the coolant solely from the engine block drain cock be sufficient for this hose's removal?

You just need to get the Coolant level down and below the nipple. Draining from any point below the nipple will do.
