Re: Rough starting | No Related Codes | 1998 V70 N/A 350k km
Fuel relay changed about 4 years ago. I use Normfest electrical contact cleaner for all electrical cleaning. I don't remember running the engine without MAF connected. Can you drive the car much without it or just idle it? Don't really care too much about the start up issue but the fuel economy both...

I forgot to say the only thing I haven't changed is the distributor or leads. Cleaned and sprayed the cap/rotor contacts with contact cleaner then WD40. Plugs are less than 10k old and Volvo brand. Changing them didn't make any difference. Leads are Volvo and haven't changed then since getting the c...

I'm in the same position as you. Volvo 850 petrol N/A about 450,000km. I've done everything you've suggested and only about 10k back. Replaced/cleaned PCV. All new silicon tubing with PCV and vacuum lines, cleaned MAF etc... Pretty much only happens in the winter and nothing helped. I live about 100...

PCV hoses
1996 Volvo 850 2.5 10v petrol non turbo b5252s engine manual air-con. Not looked at the PCV system on this car before and it's looking a right mess. Different looking PCV system than what I can mostly find on the internet. The flame trap has 2 connectors for one large hose that goes to the oil trap ...

Re: Steam/smoke from side vent
Everything leading me to the heater matrix. Hopefully that will solve it. To clear up confusion with the fan, the low speed not working on the fan is the radiator fan not the cabin fan, i took the cabin fan out to oil the bearings just because it started to make a squealing noise. The radiator fan i...

Re: Steam/smoke from side vent
Thanks for the replies, as far as coolant loss it looks to me like about a quarter of tank in 8 months or ~3,000 miles. With lock down and no work or travel I've done significantly fewer miles than usual so maybe higher loss than normal. As these things aren't too expensive and I've owned the car fo...

Steam/smoke from side vent
Hello, hoping the expert community can help me out with this. 3 Questions in ascending order of importance; 1) What are the vents/holes that are far left and right of the dash, around the corner of the blower vents, called?, 2) What are they connected to? 3) Most importantly, what would cause steam/...
