Re: Vibrations on idle
Most common cause of vibration after the top torque mount is the front engine mount, the non-hydraulic one under the crank pulley. Access from the wheel well. I would concur with that! I'll try to get my hands on some working space ASAP. Thanks guys! I was trying to find something suspicious in VID...

Re: Vibrations on idle
Is this a new issue with your car? Is it vibrating because the engine is running poorly or misfiring? Or is it normal engine vibration from a Volvo engine? As I had mentioned, these engines have a natural vibration that you will be unsuccessful at dampening. Perhaps compare your vibration with anot...

Re: Vibrations on idle
Is there any adjustment of the idle possible? Saab 9-5 automatics had similar issues, there was a TSB to increase the idle speed by 50rpm which helped quite bit. I've replaced all the motor mounts on mine, which made a massive difference, but it's still not that smooth when stopped in gear. Perfect...

Re: Vibrations on idle
Subframe bushings made a huge difference on the engine vibrations that came through the steering wheel. I did the engine mounts ( all 5 ) at the same time. My front hydraulic mount was separated almost completely so that may have been the cause. My XC 70 had 280,000 kms when I did it so all those p...

Vibrations on idle
Hi there. Patient is 2002 S60 2.0T B5204T5 AT. I'm hoping that someone had this kind of problem, because I'm running out of ideas. I have vibrations palpable on engine and steering wheel while in idle, but only on idle (~650RMP), because it goes away with the touch of the accelartor. Position of tra...
