Thanks. There is no PEM on my vehicle. One of the reasons this is so hard to diagnose. Almost everything online mentions the PEM.

Would a fix be to power the fuel pump from a relay that engages at ignition position II? As it seems to run perfectly when the fuel pump is powered directly.

Bit more of an update. After reading https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/forum ... hp?t=87867 I wired up the fuel pump directly to 12V and it started and ran fine. Unfortunately unlike the link it stopped running as soon as I disconnected the 12V or connected it back to the proper feed.

Checking the voltages to the fuel pump.

With the connector NOT plugged in:
Keys not in ignition 11.7v
Keys to position 2 11.4v

Can't hear anything from the pump. I even took the middle row of seats out to make sure. Is there anything that would stop the pump from priming apart from a faulty pump? I've swapped out the cam sensor as well now. Didn't make any difference.

Works carried out in between these states. New CV boots and drive shaft at the front. Few new suspension bushed at the rear. I also had to jet wash the underside as it was caked in fine sandy mud to see what suspension ...

Thanks all. Finally gave up and just removed in the outer CV boot to get to the inner one! Outer one came apart with a few healthy taps of the hammer. All sorted and reinstalled on the car.

The CV drive shaft is out of the car. I'm just trying to remove the inner CV from the drive shaft. I think I may just attempt removing the outer CV boot and work at it that way. The inner just does not want to budge. No play in it, and I cant see a clip anywhere.

Is there a trick to removing the inner CV joint from the drive shaft? I have a CV boot that needs replacing. Manged to remove the drive shaft from the vehicle pretty easily but the CV joint is being a little stubborn. I can't see any clips. I've given it a few hits with a hammer but doesn't ...
