Re: 2004 c70
There is only that one coolant sensor. There are 2 others but they are for ambient air temperature for the outside temperature, and one for the engine ambient air temperature for the ECU. Those will not cause your issue. The coolant one (ECT) is the only one that can affect the issue you are having...

Re: 2004 c70
Thought I'd do some resistance testing of the ect sensor if anyone has the values at day 3 given temperatures. Also, can someone confirm it has only one temp sensor? I've seen some online that have three wires, one for the guage and two for the ecm. Just want to know if it can fail one way and not a...

Re: 2004 c70
Ambient test unless you want to pull a lot of stuff to access it. It does sound like it is overheating on switching off. Normally on the newer cars the fan runs for a bit after switching off. I am also going on the assumption the fan relay is in the same place on the 2004 C70. It should sit on the ...

Re: 2004 c70
When was the thermostat last changed? It may be sticking closed. Do you know if the temperature gauge is getting up to temperature ok? If you notice it getting to normal position at the 3 o'clock position, and then going higher the thermostat may be sticking? If it takes a long time to get to tempe...

Re: 2004 c70
Do you want test the whole circuit from ECM to fan? or Just to know if fan spins? For the first one.. How fool it (car) to trigger the fan(s) without such tools? I need at least to know specific engine so i know which specific ECM you have. Update. Engine is not a t5.... According to the manual it'...

Re: 2004 c70

Re: 2004 c70
The car on this episode belched out half of the pressure tank so not just spots. Also, not sure if the fan has been working all through summer.
Can anyone confirm how to test the fan? Right now all I have done is confirm the fuse is good.

2004 c70
Hi, My wife's car is a 2004 c70. I had noticed some blue drips near the front passenger side front tire. Right in front. First thought was window cleaner but after closer inspection it's radiator fluid. After looking all over it appears to be coming from the lower hose of the pressure reservoir tank...
