Picked up the car back in June of 23. Update some good news some bad news. The new clutch master is in and connected and the booster is back in place and the engine bay is for the most part back together. The bad news is the pedal box. Eveything is bolted in and tight and hooked together but the brake pedal has at most 2 inches of play ...

My only worry now is what could of cause the stud to sheer off the clutch pedal as it would require some force. I’m hoping that the master cylinder locked up but I am starting to worry about the slave cylinder or the clutch itself

Thank you all for your help. I was digging around in the spare parts I got from when I bought the car and I got luck and found a spare clutch petal with the pin intact.

So I was driving. And as I goto shift I press in the clutch and hear lost of plastic snapping and the clutch pedal deceided to stay on the floor. i know fuel is geting to the rail as i tapped the bleeder valve to test and fuel came out as well as idling fine

no it drove just fine until it got back to chicago. i can only see the upper bung for an o2 sensor because it looks like someone welded on a aftermarket cat or resonator as i dont have factory cats. i pulled codes and most of the were regarding to 02 sensors and 1 code for the maf

i recently picked up a 98 volvo v70 2.4 na with a m56. it did about 700 miles from where i bought it from back home before breaking down. it was running rich when i bought it but i thought it to be the o2 sensor that was cut. it ran fine without considering it had no o2 sensors as the downstream doe...
