I believe I may be their first customer for this item. Can confirm it works and is very affordable.

Re: Injector Failure, a rare and horrific tale of woe
I'd look for another , same yr and scavenge all the good parts off the dead one. i've seen rebuilt heads for less than $1k. I've been looking around for a match but slim pickings in my area so far. "C" if your pockets are light. "B" otherwise. Also before installing "B"...

Re: Injector Failure, a rare and horrific tale of woe
What to do about it? I have pretty limited options right now. While I have tools and don’t mind doing work myself, I don’t have garage space so any work I do has to be done curb side, and it’s December. My wallet is drier than dad’s thanksgiving turkey, and while I can make do for a month or two wit...

Injector Failure, a rare and horrific tale of woe
My 257k 2007 xc70 suffered a uniquely stupid form of engine failure last week. TL;DR injector failure caused misfires, a smoking tailpipe, a flooded cylinder, and compression failure in three cylinders. Backstory Fuel economy suddenly dropping in the last month (down to sub 14mpg in city driving fro...

Re: Rebuilding and painting my calipers
@FireFox31 can I bother you for an update now that they’ve seen New England winter?
Especially curious how the Cerakoted pistons have held up.

Re: Terminology help, cam shaft angles
Ah nevermind! Discovered the glossary. Reset valve camshaft, intake / exhaust (CA) Measurement range: 0-100% The pulse ratio transmitted by the engine control module (ECM) to control the camshaft reset valve. The value indicates control of the camshaft reset valve to control the camshaft position (a...

Terminology help, cam shaft angles
Hey all, I was hoping someone knowledgeable could give me a good glossary for some of the terms used in VIDA to monitor the camshaft angles: 1. Camshaft, shifting angle ° 2. Nominal camshaft shifting angle ° 3. Camshaft shifting angle deviation ° 4. Camshaft reset valve % 5. Camshaft adoption ° Than...

Re: 2005 XC90 2.9 ltr awd tr6 high ECM-6140 EXHAUST CAM CONTROL -SLOW
Same code, similar issue for my 2007 xc70. Slightly rough idle and ECM-6140 after doing a timing and PCV job. Spent hours triple checking timing (and confirmed via cam adaption angle in vida), replaced both VVT Solenoids, only to discover an old cracked and corroded pigtail by the connector. IMG_101...

Re: DIY Rear Brake Dust Shield Gasket for FWD p80 v70, S70, 850, etc (PN# 3546275)
Never worked on the back end more than replacing brake pads. Based on the effort required to get to these is it worth it to pull the shields and gasket from a salvage yard? Getting the rear dust shields off requires removing the wheel bearing... so you're looking at pulling the wheel-> caliper -> r...

DIY Rear Brake Dust Shield Gasket for FWD p80 v70, S70, 850, etc (PN# 3546275)
During a long (and ultimately doomed) restoration of a 1998 v70 GLT (story for another time, or never) I did a complete rear end rebuild and found myself searching in vain for replacement rear brake dust shield gaskets, so I thought I would post my DIY cut files here to make someone else's life easi...
