2006 s40 Antenna Cable Spec Question - FM Modulator
So I've been spending a lot of time experimenting with my s40's base sound system and an FM modulator. I've seen all the posts on various forums about finding the "9v" tab connector at the rear windshield, or finding the connector in the driver's footwell, etc, etc. So, here's the question...

'97 850 Sedan, MT, winter package 1800 USD Rochester NY
I'm selling my '97 850 N/A with manual transmission. 173,000 miles. Bilstein HDs and H&R sport springs on all 4 corners. Light body issues ( surface rust and a cracked front bumper cover from a very light collision). All surface rust areas have been sanded and primed. Here is the craigslist ad, ...

Re: Major Engine Issues After Accident - Unrelated?
Thanks for all the suggestions, everyone! I just got back from a mini-vacation with my family, and I'll be getting under the Volvo today to see if I can find anything out. Going to order the PVC repair kit from FCP Groton. This all started when I "fixed" that, so it's probably the best pla...

Re: Major Engine Issues After Accident - Unrelated?
Thanks for all the suggestions! And to clarify: I don't have oil in the coolant, and I'm not losing coolant. I checked the ports on the front of the block that plug into the oil separator. Everything looks fine. The amount of froth on the dipstick isn't humongous, but more than I've ever seen, even ...

Major Engine Issues After Accident - Unrelated?
Okay, here's the story - and I'll try to keep it short. I hadn't done the PVC/Breather system - ever - and I thought it needed to be done - high idle RPM, 170,000 miles (!!) etc. But I'm cheap, so I decided to try and just clean everything out and put it all back together again without buying any ne...

Re: DIY - Accessory Lights / Rally Lights
Stout mount, too. Looks nice and sturdy, eh? It's moderately sturdy. The lights still vibrate a tiny bit when I'm doing 70mph on a dirt road, though... I think I may actually put a bolt through each mount and tap it, so that I can use the bolts to "pretension" the moun...

Re: DIY - Accessory Lights / Rally Lights
That's next to the brake reservoir (left side of the pic) next to the firewall. It goes right in front of the steering wheel behind/under the dash. Exactly. The big black plastic thing that is on the right side of the picture is the main wiring harness as it goes into the main fusebox. That accesso...

DIY - Accessory Lights / Rally Lights
Since I love to do Winter Rallies up here in Northern New York, I decided I needed better lighting. So first I got myself a set of el-cheapo off-road lights at Harbor Freight. Not the best in the world, but certainly cheaper than a set of PIAA's, which I hope to be able to afford eventually. First I...

Re: Dashboard Switch Lights LED Conversion DIY...
Dave - somewhat off-topic, but will you be at the FLR Winter Rally tomorrow? I'll be there in my 855. Zhenya, I will not be there, unfortunately. I hope that it is the only one I cannot make this season! I am an advisor for my school's FIRST Robotics team, and tomorrow is our big kickoff for build ...
