Re: Older S60 vs newer S80

All things considered, I am ok with the mileage. I can smoke just about anything off the line if I care to try. It just goes with almost no effort. The car barely gets over 2500 RPM at 80 MPH.

30,000 pages? That is way cool. Thanks for the link. I think I can use that!

Re: Older S60 vs newer S80

I wasn't saying the S80 was more fuel efficient. I should have made that clear. I understand that the S80 with a bigger motor and heavier car is not likely to match the S60. What I was saying is that one of the few things about my current S60 that I was less than pleased with is the actual fuel ...

Re: Older S60 vs newer S80

Thank you so much for your responses.

My S60 is the most comfortable car I have ever owned. It is also the nicest driving car as well. I have almost no issues except the very cramped back seat which is almost never an issue for me personally and the lower gas mileage than I would like. One of the ...

Older S60 vs newer S80

I currently own and drive a 2006 S60 2.5T AWD with appx 150K on it. No issues. Well maintained.

Recently I noticed some low(er) millage T6 S80s from 2012-2015 in my general area that have peaked my interest for maybe an additional $5-7K over what I could hopefully get for my car.

I believe that my ...

Re: What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?

Tried a whole load of those reset procedures for the service message over time not realizing that most of them would not work for my car. I went to the last page of that thread found the one last one in the thread worked. I didn't do every one from back to front in the thread but after a bunch didn ...

Re: What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?

Put a little over 6,000 miles on my 2006 S60 since I purchased it in early February so I did my second oil change yesterday and am going to do a drain and fill on the transmission fluid since I have no record the last time or if it was done. I am guessing that it was at some point before the records ...

Re: 2006 S60 2.5T AWD Parking Brake? Problem

Ultimately the pads separated from the shoes on the parking brakes. I am not sure if that was the exact issue that prevented the car from backing up, but it was the only thing that they could find. I had the shoes replaced and a rear brake job done. Thanks for the help on this.

Re: 2006 S60 2.5T AWD Parking Brake? Problem

It does hold when I engage the park brake. It does not roll like it did. I have an appointment for my mechanic to get it on a lift and take a look at it so at least I have a professional opinion if anything looks like it needs to be done or not. I will also have them look at my brakes at the so I ...

Re: 2006 S60 2.5T AWD Parking Brake? Problem

I went under the car to try and get a better look after all of the feedback and then talking to my neighbor. I did not see anything that looked odd/out of place. I had not operated the parking brake since my last oil change a couple months ago but decided to engage and disengage it to see what would ...
