Re: Man It's Cold Out** Heater Problem
Thank you everyone for your help. In this case it appears to be a fairly easy process to swap out the heater motor. I am willing to risk limited success on a 30min job to save $200 in parts. I would have a much different view if this were a job like the AC condenser or a heater core. Besides there i...

Re: Cooling fan won't turn on - wiring issue??
Test or replace the temp sensor. If that does not solve the problem then you may have a problem like I had. My fan was doing the same thing. I found the ground wire in the factory harness was bad. I cut the ground a few inches from the plug and ran a new heavy gauge ground wire to a good chassis gro...

Re: Man It's Cold Out** Heater Problem
Thanks. Sounds like I will start with a blower motor. At least it sounds like I have a little time. I can look around the junk yards for a replacement.

Re: Man It's Cold Out** Heater Problem
The noise sounds like a whirring like a bad bearing. Kind of like when you turn on a fan with a dry bearing, noise on startup but then clears up. Only problem here is that the noise is the same regardless of fan speed or vehicle speed. Seems to make the sound when accelerating. I was wondering if ma...

Man It's Cold Out** Heater Problem
I am hearing this sound I think from the heater. It sounds a little like a bearing in the fan motor or something. Here is the weird part. It only does it when the car is accelerating. Once I level off and cruise no noise. If I turn off the whole HVAC system then no noise at all. Car runs great. Turn...

Plastic Headlights?
My headlight lenses are glass and broken. Has anyone had any experience with the plastic replacements? Are they as bright? More durable then the factory glass ones? I need to replace mine but don't want to waste my money on something I will not be happy with.

I just solved a very similar problem with my car. Fan and AC would work fin for a little while then other times would not work at all. I spent a lot of time trouble shooting to find that I had 2 problems. I found that my fan relay was getting hot and braking the connection. I replaced the relay and ...

Ok I figured it out so I thought I would share the results. I did a lot of testing. I removed the fan from the car and tested it on the bench worked fine. I put it back in the car and turned on the AC and the fan started running. I took it for a spin and it started getting hot again. I took it back ...

Volvo Wheel Question
Will rims and tires from a 98-2000 70 Series, models C, S, V, or XC fit correctly on my 95 850? I bought the car with 2 bent wheels. While it is still drivable it would be nice to get a good set on it. I found a set of 4 in great shape with tires that have 80% tread. He is asking $375. Is this a goo...
