Did you ever get this resolved? I replaced my fans and module and am having the same problem, with the code happening at lower temperatures.

Did you ever find a solution here? I'm having the same issue, but with the fans not turning on with AC on when the engine is cold. Replaced the whole fan assembly with module and still getting the error code P048000.
