Re: 1994 850 PCV repair
These forums are great, I would have given up on our cars long before without them. Thank you! The EGR will have to get disconnected before the intake manifold can come off, but seeing the shape it's in and how the hole in the throttle body is plugged full of burnt oil I'm going to focus on it befor...

1994 850 PCV repair
I am part-way through the PCV repair, and came across this under the (removed) throttle body on the 1994 850. Does anyone know what it is, and more importantly, does it need to be disconnected? It feels like it is attached to the intake manifold, and judging from the rust it's not going to make thin...

1994 850 fuel line disconnect? (PCV repair)
Getting ready for the PCV repair on a 1994 850 wagon. The instructions on this site are great, but my fuel line does not look anything like the one pictured there. Anyone know how this will disconnect? (pic attached)

Re: 97 Volvo 850 T5 Smoke from Exhaust
It's been that kind of spring. (I hope.) I noticed much more white exhaust this past two weeks as well. Non turbo 1997 850, Ontario, Canada. It's cold, then hot, then cold, rain, fog.

Thank you to both of you, and chuckcintron from an earlier post. FCP Groton was right! (And helpful over the phone.) So was IPD, once I talked with them over the phone instead of looking at the website. I gave Volvo my VIN number, and they said I needed part number 9202719, and my previous sensor wa...

Which O2 sensor, 1997 850 5spd.?
I'm getting a P0133 code for the front O2 sensor on a 1997 850, engine B5254FS, manual transmission, 170K Km. The O2 sensor is brand new, so either it is defective or the wrong type. I got the Bosch 15097 from FCP, but IPD and eEuroparts show that for a 5 speed I should use the Bosch 13373. (I didn'...

Thank you, that helps to narrow it down, the most likely is the sensor. Is it the correct sensor? I didn't know about eEuroparts before all this, but now I see they have two different Bosch front oxygen sensors, and Bosch 13373 has a note that it is for manual transmissions. Maybe the 15097 doesn't ...

P0133 Code, Brand New Bosch 15097, 1997 850
Thanks everyone for this site, it has been very helpful! I'm having trouble with my front oxygen sensor in a Canadian 1997 Volvo 850 non-turbo, manual transmission. At first I replaced the rubber elbows, and checked the MAF and cleaned some of the electrical connections, but the front sensor code ke...
