I didn't express myself clearly last time (due to my English skills). Of course, it was the inner tie rods that were replaced, not the outer ones. The inner tie rods were already sagging and no longer stiff, but that didn't solve the problem.

So the vibration issues are still there ...

At the shop they found that the left tie rod had a bit of play. I had both replaced, the alignment adjusted and winter tires installed.
The problem is now almost fixed, but i still feel vibrations under load. So soon i‘ll be removing the PU inserts from the subframe‘s bushings.

I forgot to mention: Both drive shafts were also replaced a year ago (SKF parts), so I don't think they're defective.

today, after my vacation (during which the car sat idle for almost 3 weeks), I drove 200 km on the highway. Starting at 100 km/h, I felt vibrations like those caused by unbalanced tires.

Today I took some time to wire up a new switch that isn't part of the standard equipment in german cars back then: the lock switch. Currently, if you want to lock the car while driving, you have to press the door latch. That's about to change—a nice touch, if you ask me.

In germany, at least, there are currently only one or two dealers that sell these fog lights new. Prices range from 150 to 170 euros each. Used ones cost a little less than half that, which is still pretty expensive for used parts, but they're hard to find.

Replaced the right fog light today with a used part. The old one was kind of rusted inside and full of water.
On the “new” fog light, the plastic part of the adjustment mechanism had come loose from the threaded rod, so I came up with a practical solution and re-greased the thread:

Got an a/c service this morning after the evap change, hope the a/c will work now for a while.

Thank you. I’ve already installed a new orifice tube; I’m just unsure whether the condition of the old one reveals anything about the state of the compressor.
(The a/c still needs to be charged).
