ODO rollback? 07 v70

hey all,
im looking at buying an 07 v70 with around 120k miles.
car looks good for its age and looks like it’s only been driven that much from the pictures I’ve seen of the outside and undercarriage.
my concern however is the carfax report stating a potential odometer rollback.
the car is an 07 and ...

Re: 07 xc70 lukewarm heat am stumped

Hey to anyone reading, I replaced the heater core the other week and now the car is too hot to handle:)

Still hearing a louder than usual airflow sound and suspect a blend door may be partly stuck but for now I'm happy.

Thanks for the help

Re: 07 xc70 lukewarm heat am stumped

The problem with the temp gauge: it is buffered...so when it is at 1:00 (instead of 12:00), ppl are getting into the "danger zone".

Anyway, trust me, replace both Tstat + HC at this mileage and move on with your life.

PS: I don't recommend pinching the hose.

I'd like to just do that. No codes ...

Re: 07 xc70 lukewarm heat am stumped

Run CCM calibration (DiCE/VIDA required). You may have a faulty blend door actuator. Common problem.

I believe the specialist I took it to did that but going to text him to confirm. But that had we thinking about the climate control module and how to rule out if it's gone bad or not. Apart ...

Re: 07 xc70 lukewarm heat am stumped

To all those who may read this, I've ordered a heater core online and am going to try replacing that first to start. If I can get access to them without removing the dash right now, I also plan to check the blend door motors.

If anyone has any tips on access (looks tight but doable with the panels ...

Does anyone have thoughts on SKP, 4 seasons or nissen heater cores?

Re: 07 xc70 lukewarm heat am stumped

A 30 deg drop between connections does sound like a lot but I don’t know what would be considered normal. It kinda sounds like the coolant is moving through the core very slowly.
When you saw the 30 deg drop was the blower fan running and was it blowing strongly, albeit not real hot, out of the ...

Re: 07 xc70 lukewarm heat am stumped

I' d replace both Tstat (Facet is cheaper than Wahler) + heater core.

Re heater core, Behr is NLA, search forum for advices.

Re DIY, I wrote it up in XC90 forum.

Thanks cn90. I was looking into replacing the tstat but am getting some mixed advice on whether or not I can replace the tstat ...
