2000 volvo s70 stalling on start-up, MVSOLVED immob ring

My 2000 S70, non-turbo, has 66,000. I've had an ongoing problem with starting and immediately stalling on start-up, since the car was 5 years old. Eventually it will start after 15-20 tries. It doesn't happen all of the time, which makes it hard to diagnose. Anyone else having this problem? I spray ...

Headlights dim 2000 S70

Does anyone know why the headlights on my 2000 S70 have gotten so dim? This was not the case when the car was new. Car has same bulbs for 11 years. Lenses are in good shape. I thought the vertical adjustment was low, but when I park the car 15-20 feet from the garage door, there's no sharp beam to a...

Re: Loose vinyl on door panels

Thanks all for your suggestions. I think I'll remove the panels, try heating the vinyl with a hair dryer so I can stretch it to it's max, then try using some 3M spray adhesive to secure them. I'll let you know how it works out. Joe

Loose vinyl on door panels

The vinyl covering on the interior door panels on my 2000 S70 is beginning to pucker and pull loose. Any quick fix suggestions as to how to solve the problem? I think there's a TSB, which came out in 2004, but I can't seem to find it. Thanks, Joe

No fluid on the pavement and the tank has never been low. Also, I read somewhere that it is possible for an O-ring on the pump to allow the pump to suck in air, but I don't know where the O-ring would be. I guess I'm looking at a pump replace first. Thanks

Thanks for the reply. You're correct, I meant to say wheel RPM and not engine RPM. When the car is not rolling, it's fine.

2000 s70 Radio weak AM signal

Just in the past year the AM signal on the radio has become weak. If the car is standing still with engine running, signal is clear. If the car is in motion, the radio transmits loud RPM sound. Does not happen with FM. Could it be the power antenna ground? Is there a resistor or noise suppressor und...

2000 s70 power steering pump groaning

Power steering pump groaning. Fluid foamy. Sucked fluid from tank. Black and burned odor. Replaced with new fluid, no improvement. How do I know if it's the pump or the rack? Any suggestions?
