Sorry for the delay, but here's the update... Went to the Volvo dealer with the extended warranty in hand. They were able to find a service code that matched up with the warranty, so I got a software update at no charge. The problem went away and has never recurred. The car actually runs better now ...

The CEL is on now, but I have not checked which codes are showing up. I plan on doing that later today.

I am trying to replace the fuel filter on my 2004 S60 2.4L sedan (65,000 miles). I thought I followed the fuel line from the tank all the way to the engine (at least until it dives out of sight), and I did not see the filter. Am I missing something, or just not seeing it?
