Re: Need input from folks who like/use VADIS

1. It seems like a pretty basic old program. My guess is it would be harder to find a PC it wouldn't run on. But I can only speak to the version 6.4. 2. Yes i run VADIS without a disc. 3. Yeah you can browse everything from parts list to repair instructions on nearly everything on your Volvo. Be sur...

Re: 99 v70 t5. confused about type of steering rack

I am in the same boat, need to get new inner and outer tie rods but the code in the fifth line, right of the divider says 2W2MMWA. WTF? Going to poke around VADIS to see if has any info there. Edit: It appears to me that you can also tell by the chassis #. Anything 549830 and bellow is TWR. Anything...

Re: Play in FR wheel, also sounds of bad bearing.

OK thanks a lot. Yeah I likely will do the inner rods as well after reading similar stories as yours. Gotta get out of the half assin' it habit.
Is it also a good idea to change both control arms at the same time? If the left looks OK I just want to leave it.

Play in FR wheel, also sounds of bad bearing.

So I recently replaced the spring seats and struts on my 98 AWD v70, the previous owner and dealer I bought it from must have had no idea what they were doing because they changed the FR strut, when all that was really wrong was the seat. And it just got worse over time. Now that I have 2 new Bliste...

No error codes. Idling better, around 900-1000 rpms. Any ideas?

98 v70. After timing belt job, high idle.

This is my second V70 and my second time changing a timing belt. Although this one is the mechanical tensioner. Timing marks line up perfectly, but im getting a high idle, about 1200. And it seems to stall/missfire slightly when giving it gas. Going to scan the engine now to see if its trowing any n...

Re: 98 V70 XC died on the road, no start.

Yeah, not a good sign. Well I put the belt on and it runs better than before, aside from the near deafening sound of the valves clanging. Would it even run if the valves were bent?

Re: 98 V70 XC died on the road, no start.

I just dont know if I want to go through all that trouble, there are allot of other little things that need fixing on this car. ABS mod, left door lock, and on and on. Also I'm not to confident in the bevel gear, when I bought it had mix matched tires on it, I replaced them obviously, but theres a p...
