Re: Erratic idling with AC on

Does the 2.0T have the same brand/type ETM as the sixes? Whenever you turn on the A/C in most cars, something, i.e. a solonoid or vacuum pot on the throttle linkage of older cars, is going to "up" the idle just a hair to maintain idle speed with the compressor running. Seems feasible that ...

Had the same problem this past weekend. Saw the keyfob "reset" procedure. Worked like a charm! Keep this one in mind for sharing far and wide.

Re: Seafoam

Thank you, will look into it. Kinda pricey, but isn't it always? Guess its worth it if it does the job without damage.

When I bought my '01 S80 T6 with 76k miles, I wanted to do all the things I'm pretty sure were never done to it. To a degree, I'm sure that's overkill. One of the t...

Re: 2001 S80 T6 Surging under hard acceleration

Just an update for those interested. The S80 T6 seems to have smoothed out a little more under full boost since replacement of the TCV. Maybe it just needed a little longer to "learn." The car is running great. The "position bulb" warning has come up a couple of times, but all bu...

The car interior heating up and cooling down during the freezing weather means a lot of moisture on the door seals. Nothing like not being able to open your door because the seals are frozen to the door frame. Though not so much of a problem with newer cars because of the extra "wind-hushing&qu...

Don't know that I can be of much "hands on" help unless you live very near to Dayton Ohio, and I'm new to the breed, but quick to learn and very mechanically apt.

Simple Green has a good product out called Simple Green Max automotive cleaner/degreaser. You've probably got it all cleaned up by now, but good for future use. Works very well and smells much better than the "engine degreaser" c**p that most folks use. DO NOT get it on paint or powder coa...
