Re: Opinions about Intermittent Battery Drain?

Since I can't edit posts, I figured I'd post this. I just went out to check the battery voltage and current after letting it sit. It's been 2 hours since my last post, and the voltage was at 10.4 volts... while the current drain still at 10 mA... So there is definitely something wrong with the batte...

Re: Opinions about Intermittent Battery Drain?

Ok guys, so I checked all these things that you suggested. I removed the glove box light altogether. The fuel door lock functions perfectly, unlocks and locks as it should without a problem. I proceeded to open all doors, 1 at a time and close them with varying force to see if the interior lights wo...

Re: 95 volvo 850 non turbo

I can also throw in that this would also happen to me and it turned out to be a tear in my intake hose between the intake manifold and the airbox (basically air got in without being read by the MAF sensor (I think it's a maf on these cars? not a map?). I ran to autocheck and bought some new hose and...

Re: Opinions about Intermittent Battery Drain?

I was checking from the + battery terminal to the + cable, I would stick my ammeter in between. I had a system to prevent any power loss, because it seems that if there's any power disruption, it stops pulling excessive current. I'm about to go out and check these suggestions, thanks again. Lets hop...

Re: A DIY air conditioning fix?

I'll chime in as well since I had this exact problem. I have a 94 850 and the A/C would only work for 2 weeks before the air was hot again, we replaced the compressor 3 times and some other parts (can't think right now, 1 am) before the shop suggested that the only thing left was the Evaporator core...

Re: Opinions about Intermittent Battery Drain?

Do you have aftermarket alarm system installed or anything aftermarket... like stereo system, amplifier or something? Also check your fuel filler door lock.If it's stucked it can drain battery after few days. Does fuel door lock itself when you lock the doors and does it unlock when you unlock the d...

Opinions about Intermittent Battery Drain?

Hello, I've got a '94 850 (the lower trim) and I seem to be having a strain intermittent problem with my battery. It has been starting to happen more often, but my battery will be dead after leaving it to sit over night. So, i pull out my ammeter and check the draw, it's at 0.2 amps, which is way to...

Re: 850 95 cruise control mystery

Ah i'll just upload it. THere's a switch/valve for the clutch and a switch for the brake. So, if you have an automatic, you obviously won't have a clutch. But here's what it says in the manual. "Brake & Clutch Valves Valves are self-adjusting. If Manual adjustment is desired, depress pedal ...

Re: 850 95 cruise control mystery

Check the switch right above the break pedal. I had the exact same problem with the not enough speed code. There's a switch above the brake that comes out and the break presses on it. Basically you have to adjust the switch. There's a slider thing in the switch, pull that out so that it is always ma...

Re: 850 1994 Starter Problem. Need help

Well... I guess if that's my only option, I'll have to take it.

So, is there a specific model I have to ask for? I've never had to purchase a starter motor before. Any generic one? Also, it will come with the solenoid? Just unsure if these are car specific.

Thanks again,
Jonathan
