Repaired and road tested

2000 S40 with 114,433 miles looses power about 10 minutes after I start it. Front end starts shaking and the engine doesn't want to go about 40MPH, even though engine sounds like it is running smoothly. Accidentally "hit" the warning ligts switch...
Now the hazard lights won't turn off!
What is the problem?
Is there a "temporary" fix until I can get to a repair placew?
