Good suggestion. Some times it is the most obvious things. Ill check it this week and post back.

Re: Uneven tire wear -- bad rear diff?

Yes, they were put on at the same time from new. I always do them in twos, same make model and size for all four. The fronts have a tendency to wear out faster, so at some point when money was tight I changed them out without changing the back. Since then they have been out of sync, so I can't reall...

Uneven tire wear -- bad rear diff?

I've noticed an odd thing on my 2002 V70 XC. One rear tire has worn considerably more than the other. I have heard conflicting opinions on why that might be. One camp has it that this is fairly normal for a car with limited slip rear differential that is mostly driven in city (as opposed to highway)...

Which Valve Body (without taking apart?)

I know I'm being lazy, but is there any way to know which valve body is in my transmission WITHOUT taking the cover off? I have a 2002 v70 x/c and have really bad shifts. I am thinking of replacing the solenoids, but need to know if I have a "B" valve body or an older valve body. It seems ...

Re: 2002 v70-XC SIPS bag resistance too low.

I'm not sure how you wired them into the circuit, but... if you use multiple resistors in parallel make sure you solder them together and use a short wire to splice into the connector wires. Solder all splices as twisted wires introduce capacitance. As for why is safe to test w/ohm meter: the inter...

Re: 2002 v70-XC SIPS bag resistance too low.

On the '99 model V70 in which I used a '95 seat I wrangled four 10ohm resistors in parallel to provide about 2.5 ohms overall. The SRS system accepted that. Beware that connectors collect corrosion and may need a clean 10 years after manufacture. Then just re-assemble and clear codes  Did the...

2002 v70-XC SIPS bag resistance too low.

I have developed a trouble code with the SRS system. It is telling me that the left front seat airbag's resistance is "too low". If I unplug it I get resistance "too high", of course. This is an old car, and I do not want to start tearing at the seat to get to this little side ai...

Re: 2002 V70 X/C AC -- Probably High Temp Switch

I measured the gap to be just about .4mm. Is that within spec?

Re: 2002 V70 X/C AC -- Probably High Temp Switch

Thank you for the suggestions, but I really don't think it is the gap issue. I can push with the broom handle all I want to no effect (I can't really "tap" as that implies room to swing the handle. Obviously the gap between the compressor and the side fender wall is barely enough to slide ...
