Sounds like you have a HU-613 (theres a number on the front of you radio)

If you wanted to upgrade you would want a 01-03 HU-803,

The upgrade would be expensive
- HU803 - Goes for $100-250
- Dealer Software $ installation $$couple hundred
- 300w Volvo Amp - $250
- You'd need about all new speakers ...

I would check out your C/V shafts, they could still be fine but they are right there

If you do replace the C/V shafts then might look into replacing the seals
