If you have all the bolts removed...crack the nuckle with a hammer around the base of the hub assembly.
This may loosen it enough to give it a good crack with 40 oz hammer on the inside to dislodge it.
It worked for me last week.

I just happen to have one of those lying around.
E-mail me and we can discuss it.

Driving.
Wow... It is the first time the 1998 V70 AWD and I played in the snow and slush. It reacts much like a rear wheel drive, with a little extra. Very nice. I have been a 240 driver for 20 years. I replaced these with an 850GLT earlier this year. I was impressed with the feel and handling immediately. W...

Re: An interesting problem this weekend
I stole the hose from one of the 240s and ran it from the hot air side as far as it would go, just below the battery area.

Re: Tailgate sensor.
It also seems the front passenger door switch works at the same level as the tailgate sensor.

Tailgate sensor.
Where can I find the sensor that tells me the tailgate is open (or not latched.)
Often I find it doesn't seem to respond when the temperature is below -2 to -5 C.
And...where do I find the tailgate washer motor on the V70. It seems to not be in the same place as the 850.

Re: turbo rebuilding time?
I have a 5254T. As far a s i understand... this is a low pressure turbo. Does this work the same way? There is no boost guage so I am assuming that it does not. And... there is no adjustment on the wastegate. I am new to the turbo and I have no manual for the car as of yet. 1998 V70 AWD B5254T. Steve

Seach out the 850 repair manual on this site.
It will help answer some of those questions.

Re: B5254 head gaskets.
That is what I had suspected. I won't have a chance to get under the car to check for the leak until the weekend. I do have a a clue that it may be partly the heater core or the o-rings on the heater core hoses on the firewall. There is a minor odor of glycol after it warms up. I have ordered a V70 ...

B5254 head gaskets.
Do the head gaskets fail at a certain mileage? I recently replaced my old 1996, which blew the head gasket and overheated the motor to the point of no return. It had come from Florida and showed 200k on the odo. My current vehicle is a 1998 V70 AWD from Nova Scotia and it is just rolling 300, 000 km...
