Re: 850 won't start
I am going to go with the PNP switch, as I recall some driving at 65-70 mph and having higher than usual rpm's: like it wasn't shifting to the higher gear. One of the main symptom for the pnp switch issue is the "stuck in 3rd gear". I will try to tackle this removal/clean/allignment tomorr...

Re: 850 won't start
This issue seems to have start since the cold hit us.
The squeal could be just a belt squeal. The squeal just started today.
I will look into the PnP fixes posted here. I imagine it is not an easy one.

Re: 850 won't start
I decided to try again. I jiggled the shifter in park, eventually it started right up and was followed by a high pitched squeal, that eventually went away. Turned it off, and it wouldn't start again.
hmm. I tried to start it in Neutral, but same problem.
Starter?

850 won't start
Hey Guys: I've a few times this week where my 850 won't start. I get lights and all, but nothing else. I then jiggle the shifter while in park and it starts right up. Today, since I have a big trip on Monday. I went to check the fluids. Went to start the car and had the same problem. I put the key i...

Re: Do it yourself ABS module repair.
I'll check the fuses again, but the two I pulled out seemed fine. I did not think there were more than two. I suppose it could be a faulty wheel sensor..?

Re: Do it yourself ABS module repair.
Well, I finally had the time to take it out again. My first repair lasted exactly a week. Since during that repair I put a new coat of silcone over the board, it was impossible to remove all that silcone this time. I did what I could. Tested it out and the ABS light went away. Drove around a little ...

Re: 1998 S70 Glove box grunting
Well, my answer was in the owner's manual. Auto a/c happens when you have the venting position on the defrost and turn on the car. If it is on the floor, front vents or combo it does not turn on the auto a/c.

Re: misfires and sputtering 1998 V70
I'm looking forward to hearing back on the vacuum hose functions. Thanks everyone.[/quote] I believe you have another, well hidden vaccuum line to the left of the manifold. Between the temp sensor and the left side of the manifold. I had misfires on muliple cylinders because the elbow was cracked. I...

Re: Do it yourself ABS module repair.
Well, I believe I did re-seal it well, but I will have to check it out. When I took it out initially, I found two spider nests in it and one dead spider between the metal cylinders. I also noticed that i could see a part of the one of the metal cylinders even after re-installing it. I would have tho...
