well that's the problem it is a different plug on a 1993 distributor and i cant find the one i need anywhere. There are not many Volvo's around this area.

yes i do it has a green wire and a black wire and another plug with a yellow wire.

well that's strange i just bought a Haynes repair guide and it shows 3 wires going to both types the 1985-1987 and the 1988-1993 but it didn't show which color went where? I hate wiring idk what i got myself into i guess that's why i got it cheep. LOL I know i can get it going but i am sure it wont ...

well it has a 3 wire plug on it the problem i have is it is a 1993 and they have a 1985-1987 distributor in it and i would like to make this one work without replacing the distributor if possible.

Ok i bought the car a week ago it only has 64,123 miles on the car but they have replaced the motor with a rebuilt one out of a 1988 240 which has a different 3 wire plug on the distributor so i cant plug them in could those 3 wires cause the car not to start?
