Re: 1995 960 Fumes coming out of vent and acceleration?

Here is a little test....put the ventilation system into recirculation BEFORE you start the car. This way the ventilation system will not draw fumes into the cabin. If you have no fumes when you start it, then look at that little U-shaped (about 2" long) vacuum hose that runs from the intake to...

Go to any auto paint store (supply shop for auto body repair) and buy a can (smallest I have seen is a quart ~$10) of Wax and Grease Remover. Just pour some on a clean rag and wipe the wax off.

My son had the same symptoms with his car about a year ago. It took me awhile to find the problem. I cannot tell you the part name that I replaced, but it was associated with the fuel injection system. It is a regulator (I do believe it may regulate fuel pressure in the injection system). It is a si...

The V70/XC exhaust (as all V70 wagons EXCEPT the 2000 V70R, AFAIK) does not split the exhaust at all...it runs into the right hand (passenger side) muffler (located behind the rear bumper) and then pipes it over to the left hand muffler. It was not installed for performance...it was installed becaus...

Re: Performance?

Is there any performance benefits? None that I can tell, though I think I read somewhere that someone else did this conversion and dyno'ed the vehicle before/after and picked up 5 hp. I don't drive my vehicle hard enough to tell any difference in performance, but I love the looks of it and it has a...

Yes it is real easy to do...you can get the switch out two different ways. The first is to take the panel off. There are about seven or eight clips that hold it in place. The other way is to use a putty knife and slide it under the switch to push the clips that will release the switch. If I remember...

I change power steering AND brake fluid on a yearly basis...for me that is about every 15K miles. Most folks would say that is overkill, and I would probably agree. The reason I do it so often is that it is extremely inexpensive to do (if you do it yourself), it is fun to roll around under a car, an...
