Re: 410 code SAS
Thanks. I have already done that. I am going to take both cars down tomorrow. Hopefully the XC will be computer ready. The T5 will just fail,so I guess that will give me 30 more days? Sorry I brought up the T5 issue. I will start a new thread on that after I review more postings on the site. I appre...

Re: 410 code SAS
I wish it was like that in Maryland. Moved here from Pa and ,like you, would clear the codes befor entering the inspection station....no check engine lights...no problem. The bigger problem for me is i have 2 1998's. I have a s70 T5 with the 455 problem. Not even close to solving that one. I love vo...

Re: 410 code SAS
OK... thanks. This is the procedure i have used....actually probably 4 times...that's why i'm worried. Tomorrow is the last day to get it through Maryland (pain in the ass) emmissions. Mrs Lobo is driving it today so maybe that will do it.

410 code SAS
I did the diode thing in the ECM 3 days ago. I have driven the car for three days now loosely using the volvo readiness procedure. So far so good....no 410 code....BUT my scanner says the car is not in readiness mode yet. Anybody else have this happen after doing the procedure? I have put 175 miles ...

ABS/TRACS Lights 1998 X-Country
The ABS and Tracs lights keep coming on in my wifes' X-Country. Could it be a failure of the ABS control module or one of the wheel sensors? How would i tell which one has failed? Or could it be something else? It didn't throw any codes. If it is part failure, where is the best place to get the part...

Re: Oil in Water
Just got the T5 back today. All is good. My indy mechanic towed it for me. Turns out it was not the head gasket or the oil cooler. No oil in the antifreez. The pcv/oil trap was so clogged the engine couldn't function. I got the pcv kit from groton and my mechanic fixed me up. Runs great. Oil looks g...

Timing Belt/Kit for 98 S70 x/country
I want to do the timing belt replacement procedure. It was done at 65000 miles. The car has 150000 now so it is time. Groton lists 2 separate belts/kits. One for engines with serial # up to 1266128 and one for engines with #'s after that. It also states that if your car has a distributor cap and rot...

Re: Oil in Water
Thanks JD for your quick response. I kinda thought it could be the oil cooler because it happened so suddenly. Also the large amount of oil involved. It has never used oil since I bought it. I just had the oil changed about a month ago and my daughter only put 1200 miles on the car since then. Do yo...
