I fixed it!
I took the whole thing apart, and couldn't find any problems with it, so I put it back together and it still wouldn't work, so I tried to fix it the same way you fix a stuck valve in an old Edelbrock carburator... I hit it with a wrench. It made some weird noise, and now it works again ...

Re: Trunk latch doesn't... latch.
The part that won't stay latched is at the very bottom of this piece.

On the S80, this is bolted to the trunk lid, and latches to a pin located in the back of the trunk. See the tip of the hook on the bottom right? The pin on the bottom of the ...

Re: Trunk latch doesn't... latch.
I took the latching assembly off, but couldn't really see anything that would fail. I'm hesitant to replace the entire assembly when not only does nothing on that page look like my trunk's assembly, but I don't even know if the problem is in the assembly itself. I also checked for blown fuses ...

Trunk latch doesn't... latch.
I went to close my trunk, and it just bounced. FOr some reason, the latch isn't locking when the trunk closes. I tried to latch it with a screwdriver, and it just flicks back open. I dont hear any loose pieces, as if something broke off... could it be that the open "button" is shorting out, making ...

Really? Man, the last car I owned that didn't have a temp gauge, was a 1970 Monte Carlo. If the idiot light came on, you were screwed.

Re: "Over-turboed" S80 T6?
"Over-boosted" is what I meant, not over-turboed, sorry. I haven't had the code checked yet, so I can't say for sure which one it is. Actuator sounds familiar.
I will post the code once I get it checked, I was just wondering if it was possible that the dealer and/or the shop was full of crap.

"Over-turboed" S80 T6?
When I bought my car, the check engine light was on. I told the dealer that I wouldn't buy it until they fixed the problem (not just cleared the light). They took it to a licensed Volvo repair shop, and they told me it was over-turboed. I guess one of the turbos is always on...? The throttle was ...

Re: S80 Front Wheel Bearing and Driveshaft Replacement 1999 -
Had it checked out... yep, front right bearing is bad. They said they could do the work for me, which broke down to this:
$324 for the bearing
$62 for labor
You read that right.
I just found a brand new one on ebay for $82.50 shipped. My friend has a complete garage setup, so I think I'll ...

Re: Driver seat controls only work right after I enter the car
Mine only works when it feels like it. Doesn't matter if I have the key in, out, on, off... it will adjust, then won't work until it's good an ready, which has sometimes been the next day.
I checked all the wiring harnesses, connections, fuses... they were all fine. it just seems to be tempermental ...

Re: S80 Front Wheel Bearing and Driveshaft Replacement 1999 -
A guy who owns the same car as I do, said that if you jack the car up, and you can wiggle the wheel (camber-wise) then it's a bad wheel bearing. Is this true? My car seems to be making the same noise as all of the other people's on here, but I couldn't move any of the wheels like that.
